AV Festival 14 launches with two evenings of free exhibition openings across Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

On Thu 27 February from 6–8pm we open our exhibitions in Middlesbrough at mima and Platform A. The Festival curated group exhibition at mima focuses on the raw material of metal, and Platform A features a new installation by Rossella Biscotti & Kevin van Braak.

On Fri 28 February from 5–6pm we open our exhibitions in Sunderland, the Festival curated group exhibition at NGCA focuses on the raw material of stone. From 6–9pm we launch all our exhibitions across Newcastle, including installations by Lara Almarcegui, Akio Suzuki, Jessica Warboys, Susan Stenger, Wang Bing and Anna Molska.
