Kim Ki Duk, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter… and Spring, 2003

Kim Ki Duk, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter… and Spring, 2003

This simple and serene film shows the life of a Buddhist monk as he passes through the seasons of his life, from childhood to old age. The Buddhist inspired fable takes place on a small floating monastery, the centre of existence for the monk and his young apprentice. Spring, Summer… powerfully shows the passage of cyclical time and transcendence.

Dir. Kim Ki Duk. 103mins, 2003, Korea
