Winner of the Camera d’Or at Cannes 2011, this slow paced road movie tells the story of a long distance truck driver, who agrees to drive a woman and her baby 1,500km from Paraguay to Buenos Aires. Exploring loneliness and the pain of loss, through long takes and minimal dialogue, Las Acacias delicately reveals the unlikely bond that grows between them.
