AV Festival 10 included 20 performances across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, including eight UK premieres and eight new commissions.

Performances included work by: Charlemagne Palestine, Liliane Lijn, Rhodri Davies, Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, Atsuhiro Ito, Kanta Horio, Cluster, :zoviet*france:, Alasdair Roberts, Shogun Kunitoki, Kiila, Alan Moore and Stephen O’Malley, artificiel, Lee Patterson, Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand, People Like Us, Gwilly Edmondez, The Gluts, Felix Kubin, Owl Project, Kaffe Matthews, Jana Winderen, Susan Stenger, Iain Sinclair, FM Einheit, Simon Fisher Turner and Lucky Dragons.

Highlights included: a trilogy of performances by Charlemagne Palestine across Newcastle; an underwater concert by Cluster; new commissions based on our river networks; an evening devoted to recycled music culture; and a closing night collaboration between writers Alan Moore and Iain Sinclair with musicians Susan Stenger, FM Einheit and Stephen O’Malley.
