AV FESTIVAL 10: ARTIST RESIDENCIES
Fri 5 March 2010 – Sun 14 March 2010

AV Festival 10 developed an artist in residency programme with Narec (New and Renewable Energy Centre) and NRFTA (Northern Region Film and Television Archive) enabling year-round support of artistic research.

Liliane Lijn was appointed artist in residence at Narec, in partnership with Inspire Northumberland. A pioneer of science in art, Lijn’s work pursues the essential paradox between light and matter making use of new technologies to create works that represent the world as energy.

Iain Sinclair and Graham Dolphin were artists in residence at NRFTA, accessing film archive material, which contributed towards the closing night performance of English Journey Revisited.
