AV Festival 10 launched across Newcastle and Gateshead in a special evening of exhibition previews and performances.

The evening began with the UK premiere performance of carillon bells by Charlemagne Palestine at the Newcastle Civic Centre and exhibition previews at Hatton Gallery, Great North Museum: Hancock, Gallery North, Discovery Museum, Vane and Tyne Bridge Tower. The night continued with a live performance of Liliane Lijn’s Power Game at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, followed by the launch of our late night Festival hub at Star and Shadow Cinema.
