The Radio Craft Lab was a unique opportunity for eight local artists to participate in an intensive 5-day laboratory for using and making radio tools. International and regional artists directed the participants through a hands-on approach, from learning to build their own radio transmitters and antennae, towards broadcasting on FM radio and netcasting with live and archived material. Artists leading the lab included: Tetsuo Kogawa (Japan), Raitis Smits and Rasa Smite from RIXC Centre for New Media (Latvia) and Dominic Smith (UK). The Lab took place at the ISIS Arts Studio in Newcastle and was facilitated by artist Sneha Solanki.
