AV Festival 08 commissioned international radio artist Knut Aufermann to work with Newcastle community radio station NE1FM, to fill the Tyneside airwaves with resonant radio from around the world. The special live on-air radio studio was based in the Discovery Museum and broadcast 24hrs a day during the Festival on 102.5FM.
Together with fellow radio artists, Sarah Washington (UK), DinahBird (France) and Jean-Philippe Renoult (France), Aufermann broadcast a selection of radio art, sound art and experimental music.
