This intensive five-day workshop for adults offered comprehensive coverage of both the creative and technical know-how required to develop a computer game, using the open-source interactive design package, Blender. The workshop covered all aspects of game design, such as 3D modelling, animation, texturing, rendering techniques, 3D sound and event management/game logic. All software used in the course is available on any major operating system free of charge. Led by Julian Oliver.
Julian Oliver is a software developer, educator, composer and media-theorist. He has given numerous workshops and master classes in game-design, artistic game-development, virtual architecture, interface design, and augmented reality worldwide. In 1998 he established the artistic game-development collective, Select Parks.
