Richard Fenwick is originally from Newcastle, a former graphic design student at Newcastle College and now one of the names to watch in music video and graphic filmmaking. From being part of the team which created the Filmfour identity, Fenwick established 052 and ref:pnt - fiercely independant film and design companies. Here he was able to experiment with the graphic art / film crossover which has become his trademark. Today he is part of the highly respected Godman team, directing a series of outstanding experimental digital films.

Through the RND project he aims to make 100 films about the relationship between communities and technologies. The films are made in clusters in specific geographical locations, so far including London and San Fransisco. AV Festival has brought Fenwick home to the North East to create RND#(NE) a cluster of films in collaboration with composer Stephen Jefferis, aka Cathode.
