Felix Gonzalez-Torres billboard projects introduce magical imagery into an urban location, sites usually reserved for commercial advertising. He is advertising something that cannot be consumed but can only be sought after. This public invitation to dream is offered by the artist as a gift.

Billboards by Felix Gonzalez-Torres can be found in the following locations:

In Newcastle: City Road and Melbourne Street, NE1 2HG

In Sunderland: St Mary's Way, SR1 3AH

In Middlesbrough: Borough Road, TS1 2EQ; North Ormesby Road, TS4 2AF, Newport Road, TS1 5JP

Co-curated by AV Festival 10 and mima (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art).
