Cocktail Hour Talks: Ruth Catlow – Media Art Ecologies
Ruth Catlow, We Won't Fly For Art

Ruth Catlow is an artist and co-founder of Furtherfield.org, a grass roots media arts organisation supporting experimental practices at the intersections of art, technology and social change. Furtherfield's media-art ecologies programme investigates the interrelation of technological and natural processes: beings and things, individuals and multitudes, matter and patterns, to engender shared visions of other possible worlds. Ruth will talk about the Zero Dollar Laptop project, a recycled computer developed for a social setting; DIWO (Do It With Others) a many-to-many Mail Art project for the age ahead; and an array of projects exploring an artworld without polluting air-travel. www.furtherfield.org/mediaartecologies
