Cocktail Hour Talks: Wietske Maas - Urbanibalism
Wietske Maas, Urban Domestic Laboratory, 2009

Urbmouth is an intoxicating concoction that debunks the corporate campari myth. An urban cordial made with ingredients sourced, siphoned and scraped from the abdomen of Amsterdam: from mugwort to thistle roots, herb bennett to rhubarb, the process of sourcing the ingredients for this medicinal aperitif is both a poetic exploration and a galenical excursion along vegetal and historical routes of Amsterdam.

Urbanibalism is an ongoing project by Wietske Maas and Matteo Pasquinelli which explores an urban politics of digestion: www.urbanibalism.org
