Video Interview with Sound Seam artists
Published on 13th March, 2010
Sound Seam is inspired by German poet Rilke's 1919 suggestion to play the groove-like like of a skull with a gramophone needle. The atmospheric film installation exploring sound inscriptions and the material quality of memory, is revealed by listening to the soundtrack through a theatrical array of horns and ear trumpets. The show ends on 14 March but AV Festival 10 caught up with the artists earlier in the week.
