About Audio Visual Arts North East

AV Festival is delivered by Audio Visual Arts North East. Audio Visual Arts North East is an independent charitable company whose objective is to promote electronic art for public benefit in the North East of England.

The primary activity of Audio Visual Arts North East is to deliver the biennial AV Festival, but it may also undertake other activities and projects that are in line with its charitable objective. The company is governed by a Board of Trustee Directors, who are currently:

  • Mark Dobson, Chief Executive of Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle (Chair of the Board)
  • Kari Vickers, Arts and Creative Development Manager, Sunderland City Council (Vice-Chair of the Board)
